Blackie is Gone...Long Live Blackie...

About a month ago, I've decided to part with my 8 year companion, my trusted sidekick and wonderful ride, Proton Satria WKJ9278. I was sincerely tired of commuting from home to office in a massive traffic jam in parts of MRR2 everyday from Monday to Friday using a manual transmission car. Feet aches every time I get home and I decided to do something about this. It's time for me to get an automatic transmission car.

So long my trusted companion

Main feature in my search for a new ride:
  • Automatic Transmission (Main feature)
  • Compact Car (easy to move around in KL)
  • Not a local brand car (no offense, it's just one of those silly criteria)
  • Has higher horsepower than my previous Satria 1.3 cc and at least 1.5 cc (due to mileage claim from government officers)
  • Needs minor modification to make it look sporty (even better if they come with custom body kit and leather seat)
  • Fuel efficient car (never know when the government decide to hike the fuel price again)
Options available in the market based on the above criteria:
  • Honda City 1.5 (had a ride on it but didn't quite like it...somehow it lacks that previous Honda model feel)
  • Toyota VIOS 1.5 (that TRD package looks interesting...but the rear design puts me down)
  • Naza/Kia Forte 1.6 (design is nice...but somehow looks flimsy and fragile)
  • Suzuki Swift 1.5 (always liked the design but Mama don't)
  • Perodua MyVI 1.3 SE (when all else fail...this will be my last resort)
Upon trying to make my decision, funny how I kept on stumbling into Suzuki Swift car dealers. Brought home the brochures from these several dealers just to compare the prizes and packages. And finally I landed at MOFAZ somewhere in Damansara where I saw a line of Suzuki Swift at the side of the road...as if waiting for me to take one home that day...hehehe. As one of a big company, they were able to offer me something extra as compared to other Swift dealer....and I was instantly hooked with the 2.8 low interest rate for this particular model.

I had to undergo some gruesome interview from the credit company before my loan was approved. This is due to my high commitment financially after I bought a house in Lestari Perdana in Puchong.

Voila...the old Blackie replaced by a new Blackie...

The new Blackie....

May we enjoy years of wonderful ahead together....hehe.
